ICMI believes in the potential of technology to amplify, celebrate and enhance Indigenous arts and culture. There are also significant challenges in this space including compromising Indigenous artists’ ownership & control of their own content, online racism, and digital access and equity.

IndigenousDance.ca is a website database created in collaboration with Carleton University which includes regional units, in-depth interviews and articles for students, the image research database for scholars, and downloadable resource kits for teachers about Indigenous dance traditions from coast to coast in Canada.
